Brown Fused Alumina Abrasive
Product Description
Brown Fused Alumina is produced through high-temperature smelting of bauxite, followed by crushing, magnetic separation to remove iron, and sieving into various particle sizes. It features a dense texture, high hardness, excellent toughness, and superior refractoriness. Depending on the smelting method, it is categorized into fixed-furnace and tilting-furnace types, with the latter offering higher purity. Based on particle size distribution, it is divided into F-sand (ideal for consolidated abrasives and sandblasting) and P-sand (suited for coated abrasives).

Resin-Bonded Abrasives: Primary raw material for high-strength cutting discs, grinding wheels, and heavy-duty resin-bonded tools.
Durability: High toughness ensures the grain resists fracturing, providing a long service life in high-speed applications.
- Consumer Goods & Decorative Finishing
Craftsmanship: Aesthetic sandblasting for buttons, metal handicrafts, and fashion accessories.
Natural Materials: Specialized surface treatment for wooden and bamboo products to create unique textures or prepare for finishing.
- Construction & Wear Resistance
Industrial Flooring: Used as a premium wear-resistant aggregate for heavy-duty floor systems, providing extreme hardness and anti-slip properties.
Reinforcement: Ideal for areas subject to high mechanical impact and constant friction.
Why Choose Our Abrasive Grade BFA?
High Recyclability: Its exceptional toughness allows it to be reused multiple times in blasting rooms, significantly reducing operational costs.
Aggressive Cutting: Sharp, blocky grains provide fast material removal rates across all metal types.
Contamination-Free: Low iron content prevents “rust spotting” on stainless steel and non-ferrous surfaces.
